HOTHAM CATCHMENT LANDCARE CENTRE

The Hotham Landcare Centre is located at the Old Boddington School, Boddington.  The Natural Resource Management Officers based at the centre provide advice and resources on sustainable land management practices, assist in sourcing funding for on-ground environmental projects and assist in the delivery of other NRM projects within their catchment such as the Dryanda Remnant Vegetation Project, the Local Government Water Resource Management Project and P-H Rivercare Action to name a few.

The Hotham Catchment Centre also provides significant assistance to the community groups of the catchment including:

  • Friends of Reserves, Boddington (Inc)
  • Boddington River Action Group
  • Boddington Farm & Landcare Group
  • Wandering Productivity Group
  • East Yornanning LCDC
  • Local schools

The Hotham Catchment Landcare Centre includes all or part of the local government areas of the Shire of Boddington, Cuballing, Wandering and Pingelly and has strong links with the local governments and industry of the area including Alcoa, Boddington Gold Mine and Worsley Alumina.
